    Rare Anoxypristis sawfish fossil rostrum, the rostral blade was discovered with the animals' teeth seated in their original positions. The whole specimen jaw section now presented on a custom fitted lucite display stand (not illustrated in the images). The rostrum conserved from the palaeocene limestones which surrounded it was laid down over sixty million years ago. Genus: Anoxypristis Mucrodens (White, 1926) or Pristis Lathami (Galeotti 1837) Origin: Phosphate deposits of Khouribga, Ouled Abdoun Basin, Morocco, North Africa. Age: Cenozoic era, [Tertiary] Paleogene period, late Palaeocene epoch, Maastrichtian - Ypresian ages, approximately 72 - 56 million years. Anoxypristis sawfish measurements.
