Exceptional mammoth skeleton currently in preparation for show this Summer/Autumn 2026. This specimen is over 92% original from multiple discoveries, with the remaining 8% meticulously reconstructed. Such a high level of authenticity is rare, most mammoth discoveries typically feature around 75-80% original material. Over millennia, natural forces, including exposure to the elements and permafrost, have caused the loss of certain anatomical elements such as vertebrae, ribs, and limbs. To assemble a complete skeleton, remains are sourced from multiple discoveries, a standard and widely accepted practice in the field of palaeontology. This process is highly regarded within the industry and is considered an important contribution to the preservation of these extraordinary creatures.
