Well preserved Solnhofen Aeger shrimp naturally displaying the nineteen segmented parts ( decapod crustaceans are made up of this number), of the crustacean cephalothorax and pleon ( abdominal body segments), which are clearly distinct along with several pereiopods ( appendages, legs, antennae), floating in the lithographic limestone.

The classic location of this find is Solnhofen, Eichsatt, West Germany. The geological age is of the Mesozoic era, Upper Jurassic, Kimmeridgian Stage, around 155-150 million years ago.
