A fine and large Polychrome Jasper freeform. The naturally formed colours have intertwined over millions of years, highligting the natural form of the semi precious minerals of polychrome jasper throughout.
We term these sculptures freeform, when the sculpture is carved from the natural jasper, the sculptor interprets the flowing movement, tones and colours in the natural stone, thus creating in partnership with nature a unique free form design, one inspirationally derived at the moment of creation. Polychrome jasper of the quartz family of a hardness 7 on the Mohs scale of hardness (Mohs scale 1-10), where diamonds are classed at 10, a mineral of a semi precious nature.
The unique Jasper naturally formed into a caricature kimonoed figure swirling in dance with hair tied and flowing.
