An authentic fossilised lattissima pecten shell 000mm from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, southern France. More commonly known in France as 'Coquille St. Jacques', these large shells can be found in the carbonate levels of the Miocene period. The large sizes of these mollusc's, often well-preserved state and completeness all make for a very popular and collectable fossil.

An excellent double specimen 000mm Pecten shell authentic fossil surmounted white Portland limestone sculpture. The 'Coquille St. Jacques' preserved and displaying splendidly well, complemented by the limestone plinth. These large clams create a natural element feature, the artist using the most attractive way to exhibit the specimen fossils, another superb mount created by the fossil store.
