Pictorial Labradorite, the semi precious stone freeform displays a vivid gold irridescence over dark azure blue tones. A wonderful stone, polished enabling the tones and colour to refract and flow outwardly through the prism spectrum, a remarkable natural element.

The pictorial scene to the main polished scenic face is one of a darkening azure sky cluttered with troubled clouds of gold, the oncoming storm rolling over distant peaks viewed through the leafless limbs of trees.

Labradorite a member of the plagioclase feldspar series. Highly sought after for it's lustres in the jewellery industry and interior world. Labradorite rarely forms crystals, but when they do occur they are fairly tubular and sometimes twinned. Other cases show occurrences of granular or compact habits. The name derives from one of it's origins in Canada where it was first discovered in Labrador, Peninsula in the 1770s and named by Moravian Missionaries.
