A fine fossilised Chlamys lattissima pecten clam shell from the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Southern France. More commonly known in France as 'Coquille St. Jacques', these large shells can be found in the carbonate levels of the Miocene period. The large size, completeness and attractive colouration of these fossilised shells makes them very collectible.
