  1. New Luxury Feature Fish Mosaic Wall 10 x 10M

    Luxury Feature Fish Mosaic Wall

Unveiling The Fossil Store Aquarium wall project; warm calcite and limestone shale create a unique dynamic; each prehistoric fossil fish tile derives from a high-level fossiliferous rock layer discovered in the wilds of the Rocky Mountains of Wyoming. ‘The composition of the aquatic scene creates a sense of a seamless transition throughout the mosaic fish wall’. The fascinating project; in the Rocky Mountains preparation laboratory each fossil fish plate is hand selected, cleaned and cut to the desired size using highly specialised micro abrasive equipment. The process reveals the detail of the anatomy of each fish, in rare cases, every bone is articulated in its correct anatomical position, as it was in the distant past some fifty million years ago when the bony fish swam through a tropical lagoon. The process gives us the beautiful detail of each of the fishes, creating a scene of tranquillity, within the warm and soft-toned limestone; once the silt of the lagoon, which exhibits subtle and delicate palettes of creamy ochre tones to mid-grey colours. Throughout a contrast develops of a very modern aesthetic through the preserving of this ancient material. 'This particular project likens to an Athenian temple wall combined with a prehistoric Lascaux cave.' The fossil store can help you to design and supply your wall; contact us for more details on how to achieve the perfect environment for your abode. Genus: Knightia Alta.
