Geisonoceras is an extinct orthocerid genus named by Hyatt, 1884, and type for the Geisonoceratidae established by Zhuravleva in 1959. The Geisonoceras cephalopod ammonoids fossil shell [phragmacone] polished revealing beautiful natural limestone which has absorbed colour from replaced Calcite (quartz) chambers of the extant cephalopods shell. All processed via fossilisation and influenced by the local environmental conditions of the fossil site where each fossil is found.
