Instantly recognisable by its distinctive constituent parts, firstly the enlarged and globose cephalon (head), the glabella (centre part of the head) granulose or covered with many tubercles, this situated between high set spindly or stalked eyes set on the glabella shield, these also encrusted with tubercules or pustules. Behind the cephalon shield, protrude long glabella genal cheek spines again covered with tubercles. Another long single thoracic spine longer than its complete carapace (body) length stretches from axial lobe or middle thorax lobe (segment L6), the sixth segment post the cephalon, this spine extends over the pygidium (tail shield). The genal glabella spines are finely tapered and very long, these attached to the glabella lateral border field, resemble another trilobites diadem or semi-circular coronet form of glabella border, the Diademaproetus's.
