The Otodus obliquus was a large Macro-predatory shark with record-breaking teeth measuring 10.4 cm, growing to a length of 39 feet, hunting smaller marine mammals, including sharks.
Palaeontologists theorise the Otodus ancestry connects to the great Megalodon from the Miocene era which evolved for 30,000,000 to 40,000,000 years and only now in their void, we are witness to one of many spectacular modern sharks, the Great White, the lineage of Carcharocles as we know it today.
