A Rare museum-standard fossil Spinosaurus aegyptiacus dinosaur dorsal vertebra bone for sale measuring 212mm in height, exclusively available right here at THE FOSSIL STORE. This is a truly wonderful Spinosaurus aegyptiacus dinosaur with irregular bone dorsal vertebra and colour palette. While it is cautionary to specify with assurance the genus type of multiple vertebrae bones found from this location the slender shape, large size and anatomical features of this vertebra lead us to attribute the identification of the Spinosaurus. With great preservation and a piece similar to Ernest Stromer's illustrations from the early Egyptian excavations.
Colours derived from the localised minerals in the surrounding depositional silts within the earth's surface that has promoted such vivid colourations of this dinosaur's vertebra which is from the horizon of the unfold in the southern part of Morocco.
Currently, the best fossils are becoming more desirable and of course, more valuable, like all fossil material, any one piece can double in value overnight based on findings and the closure of sites. Old sites are now being heavily re-excavated in the hopes that fossils of such a calibre as this one can be found again, however, this is highly unlikely. Now coupled with the lack of specifically accessible beds, is leading to a concern that the grounds will eventually be extinguished of dinosaur fossils altogether and this is before the governments begin to close the few sites that are left.
