Details
A robust inflated test (shell) of the Cidaris echinoid exhibiting what once lay beneath the matrix (fossil sediments) of the fossil layer, some matrix still adhered to the cidaris test. The ambulacral areas and some tubercules can be seen. A good study display piece or fossil curiosity sea urchin. The sediment is notoriously difficult to remove and most only possible with preparatory tools and acid, at an advanced level of preparatory skill.
