Details

A robust inflated test/shell of the Cidaris echinoid 00mm displaying what lies beneath the matrix, fossil sediments from the fossil bed still adhering to the test. The ambulacral areas and some tubercules can be seen. A good study display piece or a fossil sea urchin to attempt further cleaning, although this sediment is notoriously difficult to remove and probably is only possible with preparatory acids at an advanced level of preparatory skill.
