Details

An attractive surmounted ammonite on a bronze plinth. Our design process is crucial for each classic creation, revitalising these fascinating, extinct giant-sized marine molluscs and presenting them in a dramatic and 'fresh look' way. The ancient cephalopod, a mollusc of the oceans long ago, mounted in an accent reminiscent of a museum Roman classical sculpture.

Pliny the Elder studied fossils and we understand how fascinating he found not only natural history and fossils, we believe the ancient Greeks and Romans also discovered a familiarity with the prehistoric petrified and fossilised remains just as we do today.

Ammonites are becoming increasingly more difficult to cull from the fossil beds due to several differing factors. This includes laborious methods and techniques which make the extraction more difficult as fossil layers become worked out and deepen, eventually, the fossil beds will expire, all too common for fossil hunters with ever-changing and developing environments. Here is a chance to own your personal piece of ancient history, in a new art form.
