An attractive pair of Amethyst geode monuments. The geode once exhumed from the mine of Minas Gerais in Brazil, was cut in two forming two halves. Amethyst is a form of quartz, the striking colour which is natural here (some quartz are artificially heat treated to create various colours), is also vivid and of a delightful deep purple hue.
The crystals, which were naturally created through heat, vulcanism or magma particularly in this region, are very large and numerous creating a dazzling array within the cavern. The play of light through the amethyst crystals in natural light is remarkable, the prismatic crystal terminations have an exceptional vitreous lustre. An exceptional statement group, a natural work of art having taken perhaps eons to form, will enthral forever.
