The Moroccan fossil beds containing good Phosphaticus materials of the past are fast running out of steam.
Most all the beds are now down to three metres deep making fossicking most difficult.
These beds are also very dangerous to work at these depths.
The only bright news from the Kouribga fossil beds is that teeth can still be readily sifted at the moment, however with the competition between the teams of fossil hunters working at what stock’s are left in the ground at the time of writing, soon this will outstrip supply for demand and inevitably prices will increase with scarcity as we predicted.
