Description

Fine Fossil Collectors and Dinosaur Enthusiast Tooth Specimen; from the Carcharodontosaurus Dinosaur, with Exceptional enamel condition, and beautiful colour tones.

Prominent characteristics of this predatory tooth still intact and excellent preserved

Condition Report

Highly sought after Teeth of this condition; Extremely High sheen/lustre to the enamel, demonstrating exceptional preservation to the tooth overall, and enamel.

Teeth of this condition are now increasingly Rare

Excellent classic curve, with good serration still evident, good crown/tip; this particular tooth has been re-seated, this is common in teeth today

Fossil Evidence; Some Life/ Feeding wear to tip, suggests that this Tooth was in occasional use, very minimal for such a predatory Dinosaur

Information

Natural Wear such as life/feeding wear, or Fossil wear and is to be expected from Teeth, especially from a large Predatory Dinosaur such as the Carcharodontosaurus. The search for these Teeth has caused the Fossil beds much deeper now, as Fossil site are limited, and almost worked out, so less material is being found, and thus less high quality specimens are found (Today's Digs-at present). So it is for certain, that material will decrease in preservation and condition, as the beds deepen In recent years Morocco has had severe annual Flooding, causing many beds to collapse. Much Fossil material has been lost, and certain Specimens have become increasingly more difficult to obtain because of it, not just out on site, but also in the Fossil Market
