Description
A scarce and rare double genus specimen of two very distinguishable Trilobite species, with amazing and fine detail. Both specimens are complete & intact against the original bed rock, forming a fantastic contrast. The Trilobite to the left is the Dicranurus Monstrosus sp, with horned like spines. This particular specie is a more scarce type, they are often found malformed due to the nature of there anatomy. The pleural spines are dramatically exposed on the matrix, showing off the key characteristics of this genus. The Trilobite on the right is the Paralejurus Dormitzieri sp, again of good preservation, with large eyes and detailed glabella [head], thorax [mid section], pygidium [tail]. To find either one of these Trilobite types is extremely difficult, so to see both species along side one another makes this fossil specimen truly unique | GEOLOGICAL AGE: Devonian Period [420-355 MYA]
