Description

One of the most recognizable Fossil Genus from the Solnhofen Limestone Deposits from Germany; the famous Stenophlebia Casta Dragonfly.

All the wings and full anatomy are present, and positioned beautifully on thick plate of lithographic limestone.

The Stenophlebia is a subdued and of a Darker yellow colour, in comparison to the Paler Limestone Plate. Excellent size Dragonfly specimen This spectacular fossil comes from the lithographic limestone Solnhofen deposits of Germany.

Fossil specimens from this location are known to be some of the finest quality and preserved Fossils available, however they have diminished in quantity due to their continuous demand and also lack of finding over the past years. So though they are still available, the larger specimens seem to be impossible to find
