Condition Report

The Ammonite has been Carefully prepared; for an overall appearance of a more natural and organic Rustic Brown patina with robustly formed whorls complete to the centre of the Ammonoid.

The Face is completely free of any Matrix (Bedrock).Verso shows some remains of matrix including traces Orthoceras cephalopod

Shell Type

Good sized Ammonite, with a broad umbilicus, the sides of the outer whorls fairly flat in comparison to the inner/centre whorls. Distinct rib definition evident on the inner edge of the whorls, less defined towards the outer whorl edge.
