The Hoplitoides Ammonite has been gradually polished to reveal the Calcite mineral filled chambers that have replaced the once living cephalopods shell during the fossilization process. Absorbed calcite creates this wonderful effect which defines the extraordinary suture patterning, Ammonitic Patterning/Chamber is very distinct in this specimen, showing fantastic colours and preservation.
