Description

Specimens such as these are unique, and becoming more difficult to discover and acquire, as the beds that once yielded them have been either worked out, or closed off, so it not surprising to see less of these types on the market.

The Cleoniceras Ammonites display a superb range of colours, this is a consequence of light passing through the various layers of aragonite and conchiolin[shell layers], grown by the Ammonite in life, also due to the lack of acid in the layer deposits and environment, which aided the preservation and fine condition of the fossil shell you see here

A High lustre and play of many colours visible, various sizes available and this example available
