Spectacular Pair of Eleganticeras elegans Ammonites in Huge Pyritic Cannonball Nodule; Fully Pyritiferous Nodule. The Exterior [Cannonball] shows an exceptional Golden Sheen, hence the name Fools Gold, known as Iron Pyrite.
Both Elegans Ammonites display Excellent preservation and lustre Glossy, superbly exposed; patiently and expertly prepared by our Fossils in Design Team.
Key characteristics revealed and exposed well, such as the unique Chamber definition found in this Genus of Ammonite, good size specimens.
This Ammonite is extremely popular especially specimens of considerable size and also of the finest preservation; which has becoming more and more difficult to find, as specimen quantity and quality decrease every year
