Description

Exceptionally Fine Asteroceras Specimen Ammonite, among Britains most famous and desirable Ammonite. Outstanding example, good preservation, situated well on natural matrix block, the ammonite showing the delicate pinkish hues, fawns and cream so highly desired by collectors as well as the classic darker green which typifies this location. Uncrushed well formed 3D ammonite, seemingly as fresh looking perhaps as the day it was laid down in silts which entombed it millions of years ago. Now sympathetically worked, prepared, cleaned and polished out of the matrix which surrounds this specimen. A true collectors gem for the advanced collection.
