Description

Good Aegasteroceras Sagittarium with Cardinia bivalve, attractive Chamosite coated ammonite in matrix/bedrock block now worked out to display aesthetically pleasing specimen plaque, of the classic Scunthorpe Obtusum bedding plain.

History

The Romans mined Iron at this location and one imagines they may have prised these wonderful ammonites as they prised the Mineral Blue john in Derbyshire. It is widely accepted these ammonites are the British Premium Ammonite. The quarries that yielded these specimens have now ceased. The Scunthorpe fossils investment potential is therefore maximised.
