Description

Huge Orthoceras Fossil Sculpture; Artistically and Expertly cut and then gradually polished to transform this Devonian Marble Limestone in to this Huge Impressive Fossil Sculpture / Fossil Decor Interior.

Each individual Fossil inclusion is extremely well detailed and exposed; the complete anatomy of the prehistoric mollusc can be seen with Calcite Replaced chambers.

The reaming bedrock has been left in it rough form, allowing the specimens to be more pronounced, away from the matrix; 3D, and also adds a good contrast between the two [rough and smooth]

This mass assemblage is truly unique, and Rare; not only to find [quantity and quality of specimens], but also to discover and un-earth such a large group of specimens together. Preparation is also a major difficulty, as much of the rock cannot be manipulated in such a way, and therefore not much of this type of Fossil Material is available, especially of this calibre
